Sugar Bowl Academy Names New Head of School

Donner Summit, CA –  Tracy Wilson has been hired as Interim Head of School at Sugar Bowl Ski Academy.  She previously worked at the Academy as a social studies teacher and Dean of Students. Last December, Tracy completed her M.A. in Secondary Education at the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to her time at SBA, Tracy completed her B.A. in Government and Political Theory at Dartmouth College where she served as captain of the ski team.

Wilson is very excited to expound on the recent successes of students at the Academy, which include, multiple Junior Olympic Gold Medals and acceptances to universities like, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, UCLA Honors, the University of Vermont, and Bates College.   But most importantly she seeks to develop the potential of every student in a manner that will provide for the greatest opportunities for college and beyond.  “Sugar Bowl Academy allows for our students to achieve greatness in both athletics and academics, but the unique experience also develops incredible character and helps develop a healthy, everlasting passion for life,” says Wilson.  Tracy will be a candidate in the search for a permanent Head.
