David Vaughan

Snowboard Head Coach

David began his snow sports journey as a ski racer before switching to competitive snowboarding at the encouragement of his twin brother. His competitive path led him to Stratton Mountain School in Vermont, where he captured two ISF Junior World Championship titles and earned a spot on the Canadian National Snowboard Team.

As a National Team rider, David trained in Lake Tahoe with the Cross-M program and competed on the World Cup circuit, at World Championships, and secured multiple podium finishes at Nationals before a knee injury brought his competitive career to an early close.

After returning to Canada, David built a successful career as an entrepreneur. In 2016, he began manufacturing snowboards and returned to Truckee to fulfill his goal of spending over 100 days on snow each year. Off the slopes, David is a firm believer in cross-training and can often be found biking or playing tennis.
