Enrollment Process

We serve the next generation of great students and athletes who demonstrate grit, grace, and courage on the mountain, inside the classroom, and in life.

Our school programs accept students in grades 6-12 who share our dedication to excellence in athletics and academics and want to grow personally as they prepare for their athletic careers and college.

Sugar Bowl Academy enrolls athletes to school programs on a rolling basis based on available space in desired programs. While applications are considered at any time during the year, we highly encourage you to submit applications by March 1 to ensure availability of your selected program.

Every prospective student must complete an application. Applications are reviewed by the athletics staff and the academics staff. Our admissions team will work with you to ensure we find the right fit for your child.

Enrollment for both the Full Year and Winter Term school programs follows the process below.

Step 1 – Inquiry Form
Complete inquiry form. A member of our team will contact you to learn more about you and your family as well as share the opportunities at Sugar Bowl Academy. Our process for academics is individualized to ensure our programs are a good fit.

Step 2 – Application
After completing the form, we will share a link to the online application. An application is required for admissions into school programs.

Step 3 – Visit SBA (highly encouraged)
We encourage you to visit SBA to meet our leadership team, see our facilities, and ski or ride with our coaches, if possible. Our admissions team will work with your family to schedule a visit.

Step 4 – Financial Aid (optional)
Complete the applicable financial aid process with your SBA application so we can evaluate both and provide a response that includes accurate program costs for your child.

Step 5 – Decision
We will provide an admission decision to your family within 30 days of your application submission.

Multiple school programs for the 2026-2027 school year are projected to have more enrollment demand than available space. We encourage you to complete the enrollment process as quickly as possible. The enrollment calendar for the 2026-2027 school year is below.

February 1, 2026
Financial aid process opens. Need-based financial aid and merit-based financial aid is available to eligible applicants.

March 9, 2026
Regular enrollment decisions. Applicants may be accepted, rejected, or deferred.

March 30, 2026
Financial aid process closes.

March 30, 2026
Team and school programs contract must be completed to maintain regular pricing.

April 27, 2026
Late enrollment decisions. Applicants may be accepted or rejected.

May 18, 2026
Deadline for team and school programs contract completion. Late pricing applied.
