Dear Sugar Bowl Academy Community,
We are in our final two weeks of the school year and the final weeks for our Class of 2026. Students, please continue to give your best effort in all classes, including Advanced Strength & Performance. This is the time of year that requires grit to finish out the year strong, and we know you are capable of doing it.
We are looking forward to our Senior Project Presentations on Friday, May 22. This is a special tradition at Sugar Bowl Academy, and our seniors always do an incredible job presenting their research. Order your 2025-2026 SBA Yearbook online now. Yearbooks will be delivered to students during the last week of the school year.
Pre-Race/Training Nutrition
When training or competing we want to aim for a familiar, carb-focused meal 2–4 hours before activity to top off energy (oats, rice, pasta, toast, fruit). You should include a moderate protein source and keep fats and fiber low to avoid GI issues. Hydrate early and consistently—drink 16-24 oz of water 2 hours before exercise and continue drinking 6-12 oz every 20 minutes while exercising. If needed, a small carb snack (banana, bar, applesauce) 30–60 minutes before start can help. Stick to practiced foods—race day is not the time to experiment.

Upcoming Events
May 28 - 8th Grade Promotion and Awards
All families are invited to join us as we celebrate our full-year 8th grade students at 5 pm. All full-year students are required to attend.
May 29 - Graduation
All families are encouraged to attend Sugar Bowl Academy’s graduation, a time to celebrate our seniors and the end of the year at 4 pm. All full-year students are required to attend.
May 30 - Dorm Closes
The dorm will be closing for the summer on Saturday. Residential students should coordinate move out and travel plans with Jamie.
