I hope this message finds you well and enjoying summer. As we prepare for the school year, I wanted to share some exciting updates and highlights from our community.

Our student-athletes continue to impress during the summer, balancing their training with some incredible adventures. Their dedication and hard work are truly inspiring, and we know it will yield results in the classroom and on the mountain.

Our staff has been busy supporting our student-athletes and preparing for the first in-person school day on September 2. They have been working to ensure everything is in place for a successful start to the school year. In addition to their hard work, they have also had some wonderful summer adventures that they are eager to share with you.

At Sugar Bowl, extensive work is being done to enhance our training and competition opportunities. We are making significant improvements to our speed venue and jump lines, which will provide our athletes with even better facilities to hone their skills and achieve their goals.

We continue to be driven by grit, grace, and courage, with our community's strength and resilience shining through. Together, we will make this school year another success.

Sincerely,
Stephen

Independent Work

This year, our school calendar includes 23 days of independent work that student-athletes will complete on their own while traveling with the SBA team or while at home. The teachers for each class will assign work with all the necessary resources for students to complete the work independently. The first of these weeks is August 18-22, and the independent work for this week has been finalized and is ready for students to access.

All student-athletes should join the Google Classroom for each of their scheduled classes for the 2025-2026 school year. Students can access their schedule through MySBA. Students - please reference the Google Sheet with links to each Google Classroom. Please note that each subject area has its own tab in the Google Sheet, and you should join the Google Classroom for all of your assigned classes. Click the link to the Google Classroom, then login with your SBA email address and password. Please contact admin@sbacademy.org if you are have any issues getting signed into your account.

The independent work must be completed and submitted before in-person class begins on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Thank you for being attentive to your assigned work and starting the year off in the right way!
