Dear Sugar Bowl Academy Community,

We had another excellent week here at Sugar Bowl! We had successful technology-free classes, providing our students with the opportunity to further develop their natural intelligence. It was cool to see students engaging deeply with their class work, with each other, and with their teachers in a technology-free environment. Our strength and performance program is dialed in, with many students sharing that they were sore and tired. They are putting in the work and you can see the results. In addition to our training, we had coaches and students leading our younger athletes at our weekend dryland training. These sessions were well attended and showed that SBA takes care of business on the snow and in the parking lots. Several of our students ended their week playing in their second local soccer match. It was picturesque, see photo, and another opportunity for our students to showcase their athleticism and represent SBA. Go Truckee AYSO U16 team lime green!

We also implemented our new delivery system at school this week, ensuring that mail and packages go directly into the assigned locker of each student. Speaking of mail and packages, our students truly love receiving them. School is abuzz on the days when the mail is full and the delivery vans are loaded. You can make sure every student is a part of it by sending a note, something fun, or something useful like a box of pencils for all the non-technology work we are doing. We will happily receive it all, so keep it coming. Please be sure to include both our street address and P.O. Box so we get it regardless of the delivery method.
