Dear Sugar Bowl Academy Community,

We had another great week at Sugar Bowl, with daily reminders of the grit, grace, and courage that make our community so special. Wednesday’s Grease Carnival Dinner was a blast! Much appreciation to the students, staff, and parents who worked hard to make it a smooth and memorable evening. On Friday, our parents hosted a wonderful staff appreciation breakfast. Thank you parents! Saturday and Sunday were travel days for our athletes and coaches, off to British Columbia and Colorado for on-snow training, with another group heading to Mammoth this week. Attention student-athletes: use your study hall time wisely and be sure to have all your independent study work completed before you return to in-person school on December 1. We started this week with snow, and Sugar Bowl is currently planning for opening day on Friday, November 28. We will be closely monitoring conditions, we need snow-making temperatures now, and we will keep you updated on when on-snow conditions will allow us to welcome our teams for the first weekend at Sugar Bowl. To help ensure a smooth start, please pick up your athlete’s season pass before opening day if possible, see below for pick-up days and times. Sugar Bowl Academy employees, please refer to the email with subject Sugar Bowl Season Pass for SBA Employee and Dependents, complete the process, and collect your season pass(es) from the Main Lodge, Judah side, as soon as possible. Season Pass and Team Jacket Distribution

We will have season passes and team jackets available for pickup on the following days before our projected season starts. Pickup will be at Sugar Bowl Academy, 815 Lupine Trail, Norden, CA 95724.

  • Monday, November 17, 4-5 pm

  • Tuesday, November 18, 3-4 pm

  • Friday, November 21, 3-4 pm

  • Saturday, November 22, 12-1 pm

  • Tuesday, November 25, 3-4 pm

We will continue to add distribution days to the schedule and season passes and jackets will be available for pickup on all scheduled team training days for families who are not at Sugar Bowl prior to the start of the season.

Lockers in Village Hall

We are down to our last few lockers in Village Hall for the season. You can see available lockers and purchase at sbacademy.org/store.

Season Pass Refunds

Athletes who purchased a season pass may request a refund since the athlete season pass is included in the team registration fee. Contact admin@sbacademy.org for more information.

Annual Community Service - Toys for Tots

SBA is partnering with the Marine Corp Reserve Toys For Tots again this year. Please bring unwrapped gifts for tweens and teens and toys for infants and preschoolers to the donation bins at the school entrance and in the dorm. You can also donate online. Donations may be dropped off through December 10.

Order School Photos

School photos are now available for purchase. Gallery codes are set to the individual student. The format is the student's name: First Last. Orders must be placed by November 26. Use code SugarFall25 for 10% off your order. More Information on Ordering School Photos

Please keep the following in mind when ordering:

  • Carefully complete all information the way you want it to appear on photos. Enter both the first and last name unless you only want the first name printed. Ranson Photography will not be able to correct any orders with incorrect information submitted.

  • We recommend using the Chrome browser for the best ordering experience, as Apple devices and Safari can sometimes have issues with the ordering process.

  • Only portrait photos are recommended for magnets. Horizontal images may be cutoff on magnet orders.
