SBA Class of 2025

Vivaan Alleyne

Vivaan is an Alpine racer from Los Gatos, CA. Vivaan had the biggest improvement in FIS points in Slalom this season, with a 35.28% drop from 95.87 points in 2024 to 62.05 points in 2025. He had a 27.87% drop in GS, finishing with 71.3 points. He finished in the top 20 in multiple Slalom and GS races and picked up multiple U18 podiums this season, including a 2nd place in U18 Slalom at Alpine Meadows in April, a 2nd place in U18 Slalom at Smuggler’s Notch in March, and a 2nd place in U18 Slalom at Alpine Meadows in February. 

He has been accepted to Boston College and plans to major in pre-law or International Relations. Vivaan plans to take a PG year in 2025-2026 before starting college so he can continue to focus on Alpine racing. 

Vivaan’s Senior Project is exploring “How did California support slavery and harbor slaves despite being a "free state"?" Vivaan’s most valuable takeaway from SBA is “to grind and keep doing the tedious things that you don’t feel like doing.” Vivaan’s grit has definitely paid off with success in the race arena and in the classroom, and we look forward to continuing to watch him grow!

Zach Beevor

Zach is an Alpine racer from Jackson Hole, WY. Zach improved his FIS points in 2025 in both Slalom and GS by over 10%, ending the season with just over 100 points in Slalom and 124.57 points in GS. He had multiple top 15 finishes overall in both Slalom and GS, and a top 5 finish in U18 in Slalom at Mission Ridge in March. 

Zach will be attending Boston College next year and plans to major in Organizational/Forensic Psychology. 

In his Senior Project, Zach is exploring “The Illusion of Consumer Freedom.” His most valuable takeaway from SBA is “the grind mentality and what it means to challenge yourself to be better, academically, in the gym, and on the snow.” Zach modeled grit, grace, and courage every day at Sugar Bowl Academy, and we are excited to watch him continue to grow!

Adam Brown

Adam is an Alpine racer from Kalmar, Sweden. Adam improved his FIS points in 2025 in Slalom by nearly 14%, finishing the season at 82.89 points. He finished 5th overall in Slalom at Mission Ridge in March and had multiple top 30 overall finishes.

Adam will be returning to Sweden following graduation, where he plans to attend University.

In his Senior Project, Adam is exploring “The Effect of Infrastructure and Urban Planning on Obesity Rates.” His most valuable takeaway from SBA is “time management.” Adam joined SBA in Grade 7 and has grown tremendously as an athlete, student, and person. We wish Adam all the best in his next chapter!

Gordon Crawford-Currie

Gordon is a Freeride skier from Åre, Sweden. He finished 6th overall in the national competition at Palisades Tahoe in February and first in the U19 division at Palisades Tahoe TJFS competition in January. Gordon also made the finals in the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships in Riksgränsen. 

Gordon is returning to Sweden following graduation, where he plans to attend University. 

Gordon’s Senior Project is focusing on “An Analysis of Global Minimum Legal Drinking Age (MLDA) Laws and Their Consequences.” His most valuable takeaway from SBA is that “hard work pays off. Being interested in and putting effort into something will get you farther than you think.” We are excited to see where Gordon’s effort will take him next!

Ewan Jedlic

Ewan is a Freeride skier from San Francisco, CA. Ewan had a fantastic season, finishing 5th in the U19 division at the IFSA competition in Whitefish in March and 2nd in the U19 division at the TJFS competition in Palisades Tahoe. 

Ewan will be attending UCLA and plans to major in Philosophy.

For his Senior Project, Ewan is exploring “What are the distinctions between religion and politics?” His most valuable takeaway from SBA is, “You can never go wrong if you pursue the things you are most passionate about.” We have watched Ewan pursue his passion at SBA and are excited to see where it takes him in the future!

Declan King

Declan is a Freeride skier from San Jose, CA. He finished in the top 20 in three of the TJFS competitions this season.

Declan will be attending Willamette University and plans to major in Environmental Science.

Declan’s Senior Project is exploring “ADHD: A Neurological Disorder”. His most valuable takeaway from SBA is that “having independence is important, especially as you get older.” We have seen Declan’s independence soar in his five years at SBA, and we look forward to watching him continue to grow in the future!

Aaron Leopold

Aaron is an Alpine racer from San Francisco, CA. Aaron improved his FIS points in 2025 in Slalom by nearly 25%, finishing with 81.35 points, and in GS by over 14%, finishing with 83.95 points. He had multiple top 20 overall finishes and top 10 U18 finishes, including a 6th in U18 Slalom at Mt. Bachelor in January and a 6th in U18 Slalom at Snow King in January. Aaron is also the valedictorian of the Class of 2025.

Aaron will be attending University of California, Berkeley, and plans to major in Economics.

Aaron’s Senior Project is focusing on “Unraveling Rent Control: The Hidden Costs of San Francisco's Housing Policies and the Path to Equitable Solutions”. His most valuable takeaway from SBA is that his “time management skills have definitely improved a lot during my time at SBA, especially during the past two years when I have been on the road so much.” Aaron’s hard work and commitment to excellence will serve him well in his future!

Arel Niemisvirta

Arel is an Alpine racer from Helsinki, Finland. Arel improved his FIS points in 2025 in Slalom by over 21%, finishing with 93.06 points, and in GS by over 8%, finishing with 122.72 points. He finished in 3rd overall in Slalom at Mission Ridge in March and had top 20 finishes in both Slalom and GS.

Arel will be attending Northeastern University and plans to major in Business after taking a PG year to continue to focus on his skiing career.

Arel’s Senior Project is focusing on “The Mutual Benefits of Sponsorship Agreements for Athletes and Companies.” His most valuable takeaway from SBA is to “have fun!” We hope Arel continues to have fun in his PG year and beyond!

Walker Rawlinson

Walker is a Cross Country skier from Tahoe City, CA. Walker had multiple top 25 finishes in the 10 km and and 1.25 km sprint. In his four years with SBA, Walker qualified for four Junior Nationals.

Walker will be attending Colby College and plans to major in Biology.

Walker’s Senior Project is focusing on “Modern Technology’s Effect on Human Evolution”. His most valuable takeaway from SBA is “the importance of communication and how to be the best Nordic skier I can be.” We wish Walker all the best in his next chapter!

Jack Schrady

Jack is an Alpine racer from Truckee, CA. Jack improved his FIS points in 2025 by 24% in Slalom, finishing with 34.6 points, and he improved by 27% in GS, finishing with 27.3 points. Jack had 20 top 10 finishes in both Slalom and GS this season, including a first place finish in Slalom in Piancavallo in February, two first place finishes in GS and a second place finish in Slalom at Snow King in January, and a second place finish in Slalom at Hochfugen in December. Jack also won the Kyle Warren Memorial Junior Championships overall and in both Slalom and GS and finished first in the Western Region Cup overall and in GS. 

Jack will be taking a PG year in 2025-2026 to continue to focus on his skiing career.  

Jack is exploring “The Key to Red Bull’s F1 Dominance” in his Senior Project. His most valuable takeaway from SBA is “how to efficiently manage my time while also creating time to have fun when the work is finished.” We are excited to watch Jack continue his ski racing career and see what comes next for him!

Henry Smith

Henry is an Alpine racer from Piedmont, CA. Henry improved his FIS points in 2025 by 13% in Slalom, finishing with 129.53 points, and 13% in GS, finishing with 128.73 points. Henry finished 10th in Slalom and 17th in GS at Mission Ridge in March.

Henry will be attending Colorado College and plans to major in Engineering or Architecture. 

Henry is exploring “The Sustainability of Fly Fishing” in his Senior Project. His most valuable takeaway from SBA is “independence and perseverance. It takes personal initiative to be successful as a student-athlete at Sugar Bowl. The injuries that I have had during my time here have taught me never to quit, but most importantly, that life in general is a process.” We are excited to see how Henry continues to demonstrate his remarkable resilience in his next chapter!

Porter Sullivan

Porter is an Alpine racer from Jackson Hole, WY. Porter had the biggest improvement in FIS points in 2025 in GS, dropping 42% and ending the season with 43.77 points. He also had a 22% drop in Slalom, finishing with 51.67 points. Porter had multiple top 10 finishes in both Slalom and GS, including a first place in Slalom at Mt. Bachelor in January, a third and fifth place finish in GS at Big Sky in December, and a 9th in GS at Kupres in January. 

Porter will be attending University of Colorado, Boulder after taking a PG year to continue to focus on his skiing career. 

Porter is examining “The Repercussions of Social Media Platform Design on Adolescents” in his Senior Project. His most valuable takeaway from SBA is that we “taught him to ski well”. We are excited to watch Porter continue to race with SBA’s PG team next season and look forward to seeing what comes next for him!

Jordan Young

Jordan is an Alpine racer from Hartland, WI. She had multiple top 15 finishes in both Slalom and GS, including a third and an eighth place finish in Slalom and an 11th and 12th place finish in GS at Lutsen in March, and a 10th in Slalom at Mt. Bachelor in January. Jordan finished the season with 72.28 points in Slalom and 99.01 points in GS.

Jordan will be attending Franklin University, Switzerland and plans to major in International Business.

Jordan is exploring “Shark Poaching and its Impact on the Environment” in her Senior Project. Her most valuable takeaway from SBA is, “You should always clean the snow off your car or the windows and sunroof will crack.” We wish Jordan all the best in her next chapter!
