Dear Sugar Bowl Academy Community,

While our athletes have been training in Canada, Colorado, and at Mammoth Mountain, we have been experiencing dry weather and mild afternoon temperatures here at Sugar Bowl. Without snow-making temperatures and more natural snow, terrain will be limited when Sugar Bowl opens for the season. Please look for updates from Sugar Bowl on opening day and check sugarbowl.com/conditions before you come to ski or ride. Given what we know now, we are postponing the start of our team programs. We will not be on snow this weekend, November 28 through November 30. We will update you as soon as conditions allow us to start our team programs, with as much advance notice as possible. This weekend is a good opportunity to check your snow gear and make sure you are ready for when we open. This includes your athlete season pass and team jacket if needed. We will be distributing season passes and team jackets as scheduled on Tuesday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Additionally, we have added Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm as options to pick up season passes and team jackets. If you are near Sugar Bowl for the holiday weekend, please come see us at the school. For our student-athletes and staff, we will be moving to our on-snow schedule on Monday, December 1. With this schedule, Mondays are all school days, no training, and you will need to eat breakfast before coming to school for your Seminar block, and make sure all your independent study work is completed! We have much to be thankful for, including our Sugar Bowl community. Happy Thanksgiving! See you soon.

Sincerely,
Stephen
Executive Director

Student Forms

We still have a number of students who have not completed their medical forms in Blackbaud.

  1. Log in to Blackbaud for Parents

  2. Click the yellow ribbon that says “3 Forms to Review” and complete all required medical forms.

Please complete forms as soon as possible.

Drum Set Needed

We are seeking to form a band as part of our extracurricular activities for student-athletes.  If you have a complete drum set that is in good condition and not being used, please consider donating it to Sugar Bowl Academy.  Our student-athletes have plenty of energy and they will make great use of a drum set.  Let’s rock, even more than we already do here at Sugar Bowl!
