Dear Sugar Bowl Academy Community,

A full house, excellent food, and great entertainment, last night’s Academy Soiree was awesome! Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our programs. We get it done because of you. Your enthusiasm, support, and commitment are truly appreciated. We are well on our way to a record-setting fundraising year. Thank you. If you were unable to attend and would like to make a gift, you can always contribute at sbacademy.org/give. Whether you give $100 or $1,000, every contribution matters. Let’s get to 100% participation this year and achieve something extraordinary. The snow is falling at Sugar Bowl and will continue for the next few days. As long as Sugar Bowl is open, we will be open for teams and school. Please check current conditions at sugarbowl.com/conditions before arriving. You can also check current road conditions at roads.dot.ca.gov. We understand you may be delayed in arriving and we are ready to accommodate accordingly. Stay patient. It is better to get here safely than to rush it. It is going to be an epic week! I look forward to seeing you at Sugar Bowl, the best place to do what we do.

Sincerely,
Stephen
Executive Director

Middle School Update

Thank you to everyone who attended the SBA info-session this week. It was great to connect with some of our middle school families. SBA’s middle schoolers are settling into the rhythm of skiing, gym time, school and numerous snack breaks. Next week will be the last week of Enrichment Block A, with students transitioning to a new enrichment class– Spanish or Rock Band– beginning on February 23 and running through the end of the quarter.

Advanced Studio Art

In Advanced Studio Art, Jill invited the academic community to attend an art critique, where juniors showcased the exemplary ski and board graphics they had hand painted. Each student’s artwork was an interpretation of the major themes of a song, and both staff and students were amazed by the end result.
