This Week

The loss of Addie Grimes has affected us all. We greatly appreciate the outpouring of support from the community and the desire to help the family. Their family is forever changed, and as a community, we need to continue to provide support not just in the short-term, but for the many weeks, months, and years ahead. We are working on a lasting remembrance of Addie at Sugar Bowl so that she stays a part of us. If you would like to support the family now, please check the Community group in ParentSquare for additional information.

As we near the end of the competitive season, we would like to recognize the incredible work our athletes have done this year. Across all disciplines and age groups, this has been one of the best years for SBA. Our teams have shown remarkable growth with many athletes achieving a personal best over the course of the season. Our coaches and athletic staff have been dedicated to the growth and success of our athletes, and we have seen incredible displays of grit, grace, and courage throughout the season. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the parents and grandparents who willingly take on the work of getting their athletes ready to hit the mountain each day. Thank you for being such a supportive community.

We also want to congratulate our SBA Class of 2025 on their impressive list of college acceptances. We will share more details on our seniors’ plans following graduation in the coming weeks, but for now we want to celebrate their collective accomplishments. Our graduating class received acceptances to 8 top-tier colleges, including Boston College, Boston University, Colorado College, Colby College, Northeastern University, New York University, UC Berkeley, and UCLA. They were accepted to 6 UCs, including UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UCLA, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz. They had 4 early decision acceptances to Boston College, Colby College, and Colorado College. And they were awarded over $1.5 million in scholarships. Congratulations to our Class of 2025!
